The Cleveland Police and Firefighters Memorial is a visible reminder of the sacrifices made to keep our community safe. The annual Cleveland Heroes Run raises funds to maintain the Memorial. However, there is more to the Memorial than granite and bronze. The memory of these fallen heroes is perpetuated through the memorial walkway and several annual scholarships.
The Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association and the Association of Cleveland Fire Fighters each offer scholarships to a young family member of a West Park Officer or Fire Fighter whose name appears on the Memorial. The Saint Joseph Academy scholarship is also annually awarded to the child of a Police Officer or Fire Fighter whose family is in need of financial assistance.
